Bajaj CT 125X Review In 7 Images

Modified On Nov 5, 2022 03:55 PM By Bernard Mascarenhas for Bajaj CT 125X

Is this rugged workhorse too basic?

The Bajaj CT 125X recently made its debut in a segment that consists of stylish and somewhat sporty commuters like the TVS Raider and the Hero Glamour XTEC, boasting of fancy features and sportiness without compromising on practicality. However, Bajaj seems to have taken the opposite approach with the CT 125X, making it more basic and affordable. Let’s find out how this Bajaj bike fares in a review through images.

Agreed that the Bajaj CT 125X doesn’t flaunt modern features or even trendy styling. Rather it presents a very rugged aesthetic, which would blend into the targeted rural environments. However, it does have an ace up its sleeve, more on that in a bit.

The Bajaj CT 125X is powered by a 124.4cc tractable engine. In fact, the company claims that this bike has the best-in-class wheel torque from third to fifth gear, and we found this to be true while testing it out.

The Bajaj CT 125X looks rugged, in a good way! The suspension is plush and can handle any type of terrain. That said, it is not so soft that it would unsettle the bike or rob you of confidence when tackling corners.

The brakes too pack good stopping power, which is further complemented by the well-calibrated, mechanical combined braking system. Even though the brakes aren’t very sharp, the CT 125X boasts of the shortest stopping distance amongst its main rivals.

While the CT 125X misses out on geeky features like smartphone connectivity, it does offer utilitarian features like a USB charger, which is useful for riders who spend a long time atop the saddle, like delivery personnel or handymen.

During our road test, the Bajaj CT 125X wowed us with its city mannerisms, thanks to its tractable engine and suspension. That said, its fuel economy was disappointing, with its figures being lower than those of its performance-oriented rivals, despite being tuned for city commuting.
