Bajaj Fighter Trademark Filed; Upcoming Bajaj CNG Bike’s Name?
Here’s our analysis of whether Fighter or the Bruzer could be the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike’s name
Update: The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike has been launched in India at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom)
We already know lots of details about the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike and now, an interesting detail has surfaced regarding the potential name of the bike. Bajaj Auto has filed a trademark application for the name “Bajaj Fighter” for which it has just received a ‘Formalities Chk Pass’ status. This means that the Indian Trademark Registry has authenticated the trademark application documents. Bajaj also filed for the trademark of the name “Bajaj Bruzer”, a little over a month ago. According to us, here are two possibilities regarding the CNG bike’s name:
Second CNG Bike To Be Called Bajaj Fighter?
Rajiv Bajaj revealed last month that about 5-6 CNG bikes are currently in development. So, there is a possibility that the second CNG bike, after the first one is launched on June 18, 2024, could be called ‘Bajaj Fighter’.
1st CNG Bike To Be Called Bajaj Fighter Instead Of Bruzer?
When the trademark for the Bruzer name was filed, we thought that could be the 1st CNG bike’s name. But the more likely outcome now is that ‘Fighter’ could be the name of that bike because compared to the Bruzer, the ‘Fighter’ name has a better chance of sitting well with the intended audience.
The Bajaj CNG bike has already been spied several times till now and we know that it gets a sloper-like engine. The CNG cylinder will be placed underneath the flat, single-piece seat and the bike will also get an auxiliary petrol tank for instances when it runs out of CNG.
