Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat BS6 Arrives At Dealerships

Modified On Jun 5, 2020 03:50 PM By Zaran Mody for Bajaj Pulsar 125

So far, only the single-seat variant has received the official BS6 update

[UPDATE: The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat variant has been launched pan-India. Check our our report for more details.]

It is only available for sale in certain states like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In addition to split seats, there are also a few other cosmetic differences. Expect it to be around Rs 3,500 to Rs 4,000 more expensive than the standard bike

You may think that all the Bajaj Pulsars have received their BS6 updates, but you probably forgot about a niche little variant called the Pulsar 125 Split-seat. The regular Pulsar 125 with a single seat received its BS6 update a couple of months ago and is now priced from Rs 70,995 to Rs 75,494, but the split-seat variant has now begun arriving at dealerships. Like before, it will only be sold in certain states, and this particular bike was spotted in Bihar.

In addition to the obvious difference of split-seats, this variant also gets a belly cowl, split grab rails and dedicated graphic schemes to help set it apart. All these contribute to giving the bike a more sporty appearance than its single-seat cousin. Though it may look more aggressive, the underlying mechanicals are identical, meaning that it’s still powered by a 124.4cc motor that produces 11.8PS and 10.8Nm in BS6 form. Cycle parts will be the same as the disc brake variant of the single-seat Pulsar 125.

In BS4 guise, the split-seat variant was around Rs 3,900 more expensive than its single-seat counterpart, which we found to be a little on the steep side. Expect this trend to continue in the BS6 era as well, with the split-seat variant likely to cost around Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 more than the disc brake version once launched (around Rs 78,500 to Rs 79,500).
