Bajaj Pulsar N150 Launch Soon, Gets Pulsar P150 Engine With Pulsar N160 Design

The Yamaha FZ S rival from Bajaj has reached dealerships, hinting at the official launch this month

One of the most cost-effective ways to strengthen product lineups is to make use of components from various bike models to create new products, and Bajaj is one such manufacturer that frequently follows this approach. The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 is a standing example to this as it is basically the Bajaj Pulsar P150 but with the Bajaj Pulsar N160’s bodywork. The N150 is all set to be launched soon (probably within this month) as the bike has been spotted at dealerships. This comes in just after Bajaj recently announced that it will launch several Bajaj Pulsar bikes by March 2024.

This bike gets the same sleek projector LED headlight and streetfighter-style body panels as the N160. It also gets a sleek single-piece grab rail on the tail section, and a tyre hugger. Like the Pulsar P150, it retains a kick start lever and features an underbelly exhaust.

The bike is powered by the same 14.5PS and 13.5Nm 149.68cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the Pulsar P150. Its underpinnings include a 31mm telescopic fork, a preload-adjustable monoshock, a front disc brake, and a rear drum unit, although there are reports of a rear disc brake-equipped variant potentially being available upon launch.

The Pulsar N150 maintains the N160’s semi-digital instrument cluster, featuring real-time and average mileage indicators, a distance-to-empty readout, a clock, and other standard information. It is expected to come with a single-channel ABS, regardless of the variant. The bike features a single-piece seat configuration, and the alloy wheel design remains unchanged. Initially, it has been spotted in white and red colours, with the possibility of more colour options being offered.

Regarding pricing, it is expected that the Bajaj Pulsar N150 will be approximately Rs 2,000 more expensive than the Pulsar P150. For reference, here are the current ex-showroom Delhi prices of the Bajaj Pulsar P150 and Bajaj Pulsar N160 variants:

Bajaj Pulsar P150

Bajaj Pulsar N160

Single disc, single-piece seat: Rs 1.16,755

Std (one variant only): Rs 1,30,560

Twin disc, split seat: Rs 1,19,757

-

Summing up, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 will help the Pune-based bikemaker to cater to the 150cc streetfighter segment, a segment that’s currently dominated only by the Yamaha FZ S. Moreover, it will also offer customers an affordable sporty streetfighter option instead of having to spend much more and go for a bigger 160cc one.
