Braking, acceleration, and efficiency numbers compared straight from our trusted V-BOX
On the spec sheet, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 is more powerful than the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. But the real story comes from the testing data. So we strapped on our trusted V-BOX and here’s how the Pulsar N250’s performance numbers fare against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V’s:

Well, this doesn’t come as a surprise. With almost 4PS and 3Nm more than the Apache RTR 200 4V, the Pulsar N250 is better in every single acceleration run. However, during roll-ons, the RTR 200 4V cuts the gap down to mere 0.3-0.4 seconds, which shouldn’t matter much in real life.

This is where the RTR 200 4V’s frugal nature comes into play. With a better 4V setup and riding modes, it returns 4kmpl more in the city. And the gap increases to over 7kmpl at higher speeds, which would be significant on the go.

With bigger disc brakes at both ends, the Pulsar N250 seems better on paper. But in real life, it's the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V that stops in a smaller distance, especially from 80-0kmph where the RTR takes almost 5m less, which can be deemed crucial in emergencies. Moreover, the Apache RTR 200 4V we tested was equipped with dual-channel ABS, while the Pulsar N250 doesn’t even get it as an option.
Overall, outright performance aside, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V comes out on top, which, to be honest, was a surprise to us.
