Completely out of the blue, Bajaj has unleashed upon us the Pulsar NS125, priced at Rs 93,690. An 8-litre Pulsar with a perimeter frame sounds pretty exciting, but the paltry 12PS and 11Nm output figures might put some of you off. If that's the case, here are some similarly priced alternatives:

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon

If a grunty street bike is what you want, the trusty old Pulsar 150 Neon is probably your best bet. At just Rs 95,872, it's only marginally more expensive than the little NS, but its engine output figures of 14PS and 13.25Nm are decently higher. 

Honda Unicorn

Displacing 162.7cc, the mighty Honda Unicorn is the biggest bike on this list, but it trades in outright horsepower for refinement and reliability. Of course, the Honda badge comes at a slight premium, with the Unicorn costing Rs 1,01,818.

Bajaj Avenger Street 160

It might be a cruiser, but the Avenger Street 160 actually packs in the most firepower of this bunch, with a 160cc motor producing 15PS and 13.7Nm. The firepower doesn't come cheap, because at Rs 1,04,339, the little Avenger is the priciest bike on this list.

Revolt RV300

If your main reason for not choosing the NS125 is environmental awareness, let us tell you about an electric motorcycle in this price range. The Revolt RV300 can do 150km on a full charge, reach a top speed of 65kph, and will cost you just Rs 94,999.

Aprilia SR 125

It's hard to beat the sheer practicality and ease of use that a scooter offers, and one popular offering in this price range is the Aprilia SR 125. Obtaining that convenience is rather easy, because priced at Rs 94,288, the little Italian is the most affordable two-wheeler on this list.
