Bajaj Pulsar Range Now Pricier By Up To Rs 1,000

Modified On Jul 13, 2020 02:02 PM By Gaurav Sadanand for Bajaj Pulsar 125

This is the second price hike post its BS6 update

The Pulsar range previously received a price hike in March 2020. Thankfully, the premium is rather small, extending to a maximum of Rs 999. The Pulsar 125 Neon gets the smallest price hike of Rs 301. No cosmetic or mechanical changes.

Bajaj Auto has hiked the prices of the entire Pulsar range in the midst of an economic crisis. So getting your dream bike is going to be a bit more difficult now. This is the second price hike since the BS6 update. Thankfully, the premium is only up to Rs 999. The affected bikes include the Pulsar 125 Neon, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS160, Pulsar NS200, and the Pulsar RS200. You can read about the Pulsar 180F’s price bump here. The rest of the prices are mentioned below:

The price increase may be small this time, but frequent hikes are making the Pulsar range rather expensive and as a result, it’s losing its value-for-money quotient. The same strategy was applied to the Dominar 400 which started off at a staggering price point but became a whole lot more expensive over the past year or so. Also worth noting is the fact that none of the BS6 Pulsars come with any extra features. So a premium of around Rs 3,000 to Rs 11,000 over their respective BS4-compliant counterparts is quite hard to justify.

Notably, the Pulsar 125 Neon drum brake variant is the only bike that hasn’t received a price hike. It still retails at Rs 70,995 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the most affordable Pulsar money can buy.
