Benelli TNT 600i Spied With New Design

Published On Sep 17, 2019 05:10 PM By Benjamin Noel Gracias for Benelli TNT 600

While the previously spied images had TNT 899 design cues, the new one is completely different and look like the 302S and 502S

Benelli is working on the next-generation TNT 600i and will give it new bodywork and features. The latest spy shots of the new TNT 600i is vastly different from the previous set of spy images.  Benelli is expected to launch the redesigned TNT 600i in India next year.

The Benelli update story is no less interesting than a Bollywood potboiler. First, a test mule of what appeared to be the next-generation TNT 600i was spotted testing in China. Next, we saw spy images of the upcoming TNT 600i. Only it was vastly different than the test mule spotted earlier. Now a new set of images are out. Only they seem based on the previously spied test mule’s design.

While the previous set of images reminded us of the now discontinued TNT 899, the new one looks inspired by Benelli’s latest models like the 302S and 502 S. Both sets of designs have subtle differences as well. The new yellow bike appears to have sharper and minimalist fuel tank extensions. Even the rider and pillion seat has been integrated together and look like a single-seat now. The tail section too is sharper and more compact compared to the green bike.

The trellis frame underpinnings and four-cylinder motor appear to be carried over from the current bike. However, we can expect the motor to be reworked for BS6 compliance and as a result power to drop a little from the current 86.24 PS and 54.6Nm.

Now there could be two reasons for Benelli to have the same bike with two different bodywork designs. They could be in the process of testing out and finalising one design of the two to debut as the next-generation TNT 600i. Or they could launch both bikes as different variants.

Benelli is expected to launch the next generation TNT 600i in India next year. Stay tuned for more updates.
