Benelli TRK 502 Makes Indian Debut at 2016 Auto Expo

Previously showcased at the 2015 EICMA, the middleweight adventure tourer from DSK-Benelli, TRK 502 has made its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. The bike is expected to be launched by September this year and will be one of the four new models which will be launched in the country in 2016. This motorcycle might get popular among tourers and is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 5 lac. The company has equipped the motorcycle with a 20-litre fuel tank to cover a long range without refuelling.

TRK 502 features a 499.6cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin engine that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 46.9bhp at 8,500rpm with a peak torque of 45Nm at 4,500rpm. The bike runs on 120/70 front and 160/60 rear Pirelli tyres wrapped on 17-inch spoke wheels. Also, it gets a large aerodynamic windshield at the front along with upside down forks. For braking, the wheels are equipped with twin 320mm disc brakes at the front and 260mm disc brake at the rear. It also features Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for added safety of the rider.

Benelli, the Italian bike sculptor which is in collaboration with DSK in India, is looking forward to increase its reach in the country. For this, it has recently entered small engine segment with the launch of its 250cc motorcycle, TNT 25. This adds to the current TNT lineup available in India. To offer more to its customers, Benelli will be launching TNT 15 and TRK 502 in the country this year. Both these bikes are being showcased at the Auto Expo.
