BGauss RUV350 Electric Scooter Teased Ahead Of Its Launch On June 25th
With a basic design, it is likely to replace BGauss’ flagship, the D15 e-scooter
BGauss, a Pune-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has teased its upcoming RUV350 electric scooter ahead of its launch on June 25, 2024. It is likely to be the successor of the BGauss D15, which is now unlisted on BGauss’ website. The D15 was launched in May 2022 and, with large 16-inch wheels, was the brand’s flagship e-scooter.
The teaser images reveal that the BGauss RUV350 features a basic scooter design, similar to the BGauss D15. It gets a spacious floorboard, a single-piece seat and a single-piece grabrail offering the practicality of a conventional scooter. It is expected to have a digital instrument console and all-LED lighting. For convenience, the electric scooter has an apron-mounted utility hook, though it seems to have less underseat storage as most of the space will be occupied by the battery pack.
We expect the upcoming e-scooter to deliver a range of over 100km, similar to the D15 which was claimed to deliver an ARAI-certified (Automotive Research Association of India) range of 115km per charge.
The RUV350 gets a telescopic fork and a single rear shock suspension setup. Braking is managed by drum brakes on both ends. It is fitted with 16-inch alloy wheels with a similar design as the D15.
The BGauss RUV350 is likely to be priced at around Rs 1.20 lakh ex-showroom, including EMPS 2024 (which stands for Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme). It will likely rival the Ola S1 Air, Ampere Nexus, Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, and the TVS iQube.
