Bigger Hero XPulse Spied Testing! Is It A 440?
Is it a 210 or 440? Here is what we think…
The upcoming Hero XPulse has been spied testing yet again and this time around, we think it’s the XPulse 440. Here’s why
It Does Make Sense
The latest XPulse spy shots were taken when the bike was spied testing alongside the Harley Davidson X440 and the upcoming Mavrick 440. It also features a similar vertical catalytic converter to the Harley X440.
And even more importantly, the 440cc engine will also address the drawbacks of the current XPulse 200 4V as the 440cc engine is a torquey one with good bottom-end performance, and can effortlessly cruise on the highways at around 120kmph. Hero will probably strengthen the current XPulse chassis to fit the bigger engine. And given the 440cc engine’s simple configuration (2-valve, SOHC, air-oil-cooled engine), it’ll help Hero save costs too.
All in all, Hero could bring the XPulse 440 soon. And as for the bigger, liquid-cooled XPulse, it’s already known that the project has been delayed. So by the time the LC XPulse comes, it’s likely that Hero could aim for a 450cc one, rather than a 400cc one. And given that its chief rival, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has a 452cc engine, it only makes sense for Hero to target the same.
We expect the Hero XPulse 440 to debut in early 2025, likely with a Rally kit variant too. The XPulse 440 could be priced at around Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom).
