Compared to a lukewarm February, March kept us enthusiast merry with several new launches
February was fairly lukewarm, but things shook up in March, with several manufacturers launching interesting products, and a lot of them were electric too. Here’s the full recap:
Royal Enfield Scram 411:
Royal Enfield finally launched the ‘Lite’ version of the Himalayan, called the Royal Enfield Scram 411. It retains the Himalayan’s core genes but comes with a few crucial changes that help it stand apart. TVS Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect:
The TVS Jupiter ZX variant has been updated with smartphone connectivity, making the already-capable scooter even more feature-packed. Apart from turn-by-turn navigation, here’s what else it gets, along with its pricing.
Okinawa Okhi-90:
Okinawa has launched its flagship offering, the Okhi-90 electric scooter in the country. It’s meant to take on the premium electric scooters in India, including the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X and Simple One. The Okhi-90 rolls on massive 16-inch alloys, and comes with a few other tricks up its sleeve as well.
Oben Rorr:
Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based startup, has launched its first electric offering, the Rorr. This neo-retro styled naked comes with a claimed top speed of 100kmph, a claimed range of 150km in Eco mode, and a whole bunch of geeky features. Here’s how much it costs.

Triumph launched its most affordable ADV-style sports tourer, the Tiger Sport 660, in the country this month. While technically it’s the most affordable ADV offering from the British marque, its introductory price is anything but.
Hero Electric Eddy:
Hero Electric launched a funky-looking low-speed electric scooter called the Eddy. One does not require a license to ride this electric scooter, and is priced at Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom). Here’s what else it gets.
Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro, Panigale V2 Troy Bayliss Edition:
Ducati launched not one but two motorcycles in India this month. For the trail enthusiasts, it brought the Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro, armed with the iconic yellow Ducati livery, premium seat, spoke wheels, and much more. The motorcycle retails at Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom India), making it Rs 1.15 lakh more expensive than the base 1100 Dark Pro variant.
For those who like to go track riding, the Italian bikemaker has launched an uber-exclusive variant of the Panigale V2, called the Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary edition. It comes with an improved suspension setup, a lighter lithium-ion battery pack, and a special livery, among others. The variant retails at Rs 21.30 lakh (ex-showroom India), which is Rs 2,78,000 dearer than the standard V2.
