BMW G 310 R & G 310 GS Prices Hiked

Modified On Jan 19, 2021 03:05 PM By Pratik Bhanushali for BMW G 310 R

Thankfully, the price bump isn’t that high to be a deal-breaker

A bit late to the party, BMW Motorrad has also joined the price hike barrage for 2021. The German two-wheeler manufacturer has bumped up the G 310 R and the G 310 GS prices. Here’s a list of both the bikes and their new prices:

Model

New Price

Old Price

Difference

G 310 R

Rs 2,50,000

Rs 2,45,000

Rs 5,000

G 310 GS

Rs 2,90,000

Rs 2,85,000

Rs 5,000

The price hike of Rs 5,000 is probably a result of the rising input costs and inflation. There are no changes made to compensate for the new pricing. However, both the bikes received a bunch of updates during the BS6 transition, and you can read about it here.

On the features’ front, BMW has housed the G 310 R and the G 310 GS with all-LED headlight with DRLs, ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and low rpm assist to crawl through the traffic.

Both the Beemers pack a BS6-compliant, liquid-cooled, 313cc engine that makes 34PS of power and 28Nm of torque. Similarly, anchoring the G 310 GS and the G 310 R is a 300mm disc and a 240mm disc with dual-channel ABS as standard. The only notable differences between the naked G 310 R and the G 310 GS ADV bike are the suspension and the tyres. While the former is sprung by 41mm USD fork with a monoshock and road-going tyres, the 310 GS uses long-travel USD fork, preload adjustable monoshock, and dual-purpose tyres. We’ve tested the new G 310 GS, and here’s what we think about it.

The BMW G 310 GS competes against the KTM 250 ADV and the Royal Enfield Himalayan, whereas the G 310 R rivals the KTM 390 Duke and the Honda CB300R. Interested in the G 310 R? Check out our review first.
