BREAKING: 2021 Bajaj Platina 110 With Single-Channel ABS Launched At Rs 65,920

Modified On Mar 4, 2021 01:12 PM By Gaurav Sadanand for Bajaj Platina 110

The 2021 Platina 110 is the first bike in its segment to feature ABS

Comes with Bajaj’s ComforTec package. Powered by the same 115cc single-cylinder engine. Gets new rearview mirrors and handguards for improved safety. Available in three colours.

Bajaj has launched the Bajaj Platina 110 with single-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) at Rs 65,920. This makes it the first 110cc bike in India to come with ABS as standard. It carries a premium of around Rs 1,600 over the Platina 110 H-Gear and is available in three new colours options: black, red and blue. All these colour variants are already available across all Bajaj dealerships in India.

Like most Bajaj motorcycles, the 2021 Bajaj Platina 110 brings a lot more to the table than just ABS. It also gets a new rearview mirror design for improved visibility and a set of handguards for enhanced safety. Other noteworthy aspects include Bajaj’s ComforTec package which comprises quilted seats, a Nitrox spring-on-spring suspension at the rear, and tubeless tyres. The console gets an ABS indicator which signals if something is wrong with the system.

No change has been made to the powertrain. It continues to use a 115cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 8.6PS at 7000rpm and 9.81Nm of peak torque at 5000rpm. The motor uses a 5-speed transmission.

Underpinnings are pretty much the same as before, except for, of course, better braking equipment up front. It gets a 240mm front rotor, mated to an axially mounted caliper, and ABS as standard.

The updated bike definitely has more to offer, just like the Platina 110 H-Gear when it was launched in June 2019. Sure, it costs a premium over some of its competition, but the extra money brings better safety features. In its segment, the  Bajaj Platina 110 competes against the TVS Star City Plus, Honda Dream YugaHero Passion Pro BS6 and Hero Splendor iSmart
