BREAKING: Benelli May Bring Back The TNT 899 With The Revival Of Three-cylinder Motors
Sources suggest the brand is currently working on at least 10 new engine platforms
Benelli has been secretly working on a strong lineup of motorcycles for the global market. This of course isn't possible with some serious performance, and that's where we're going with this story. We have come to know that the Italian brand is labouring away on at least ten new engine platforms which include the 900cc and 1200cc motors -- the holy grail of three-cylinder motors if you ask me.
You know what that means? That’s right, Benelli might just bring back the gorgeous Benelli TNT 899 and possibly even the TNT 1130. If not the exact same bikes, at least new and improved versions of the duo. But Benelli would really have to up the ante in terms of design, as the previous iterations were stunning to look at.

Benelli may bump the displacement up to meet strict Euro 5/ BS6 emission norms, which implies that we could expect more performance out of the new engines. And it would have to be a lot more than the previous-gen models as the current generation of bikes have upped the game considerably in the last few years.
The previous TNT 899, for instance, made 119.6PS and around 88Nm of torque via its three-cylinder motor. As for the TNT 1130, it belted out 159PS at 10,200rpm and 120Nm at 8,400rpm. The increased displacement could result in new names as well. Something on the lines of a TNT 900 or TNT 1200? Needless to say, Benelli will have to include a number of electronic rider aids to go along with the updated engines, as well as features like a colour TFT console and LED lights.

We believe Benelli may first get the ball rolling with the BS6-compliant 500cc range, followed by bikes under the new engine platform which will target the 400cc, 700cc and 900cc, and possibly the 1200cc segments. This will help the brand cover the length and breadth of the premium motorcycle segment.
