BREAKING: Hero Glamour Xtec Launched In India At Rs 78,900 Onwards

The Glamour Xtec is the most premium variant of the 125cc commuter bike

It uses the same BS6-compliant 125cc motor as the standard model with identical output figures.  Hero has loaded the bike with a laundry list of features  The drum brake variant costs Rs 78,900 and the disc brake variant retails at Rs 83,500. 

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Glamour Xtec in India at Rs 78,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards. Compared to the standard Glamour variant, the Xtec costs Rs 4,000 more and here's what it offers. 

Styling-wise, Hero hasn’t tinkered much with the Glamour Xtec. It gets the same commuter-oriented design without any alterations at all. However, the new variant uses an LED headlight with an H-Signature position lamp.

Similar to the standard Glamour, the Xtec also employs a BS6-compliant 125cc single-cylinder motor with the output rated at an identical 10.8PS and 10.6Nm. However, it gets the XSens Programmed Fuel Injection system and Hero claims the engine to be 7 per cent more efficient. 

The highlight of the Hero Glamour Xtec has to be its laundry list of features. You get a segment-first integrated USB charging port, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation with Google map connectivity, gear position indicator, a bank angle sensor that shuts off the engine during a fall and side stand engine cut off which is also a segment-first. 

All the said features can be accessed on the new full LCD instrument console. 

The Hero Glamour Xtec is suspended on a telescopic fork and a pair of 5-step adjustable rear springs. Braking hardware comprises 240mm discs and even the ground clearance remains unchanged at 180mm. 

Hero offers the Glamour Xtec in a drum and disc brake variant. The drum variant costs Rs 78,900 while the latter is priced at Rs 83,500. It rivals the Honda Shine BS6, Honda SP125 and the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
