BREAKING: Honda Launches Shine Celebration Edition
Comes with a small premium over the standard variant
Honda India has launched the Shine Celebration Edition in India for a price of Rs 78,878 for the drum brake variant. That means that it’s only Rs 1,500 more expensive than the standard drum variant of the Shine.
While the prices for the disc variant haven’t been revealed, we expect it to carry nearly the same amount of premium over its disc counterpart, which is priced at Rs 81,378 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
What you get for the extra money is gold garnish on the cowl, tank extensions and side panels. The bike also gets golden ‘Honda’ and ‘Shine’ badging, which adds a premium touch to the otherwise plain design. What further accentuates the premium feel is a new brown seat cover.

The Celebration Edition is available in two colours: Matte Sangria Red Metallic and Matte Steel Black Metallic. While the former adds a bit of sportiness to the bike, we feel that the latter blends in beautifully with the golden finishes, and gives the bike a subtle but premium look.
All in all, for a small amount of premium over the standard variant, you get a bike that looks
better. The Honda Shine 125 rivals the likes of Bajaj CT 125X, Hero Super Splendor and Bajaj Pulsar 125. In terms of pricing, the Honda Shine competes with the Hero Maestro Edge 125, TVS Ntorq, and the Yamaha Fascino.
