Breaking: KTM Duke And Husqvarna Range With New Colours Launched

Modified On Sep 1, 2022 02:40 PM By Ishan Lee for KTM Duke 200 (2013 - 2024)

Baby Dukes get more youthful and bright, while the big boys don darker war paint

It’s official, the KTM Duke range of motorcycles - 125, 200, 250 and 390 Duke will now get five new colorways while a few old shades will be given the axe. Here’s a quick glance at the new colours for each model and their prices.

KTM 125 Duke- Rs 1,78,041 (ex-showroom Delhi):

In this new update the baby KTM 125 Duke will be seen wearing a new shade called ‘Ceramic White’ alongside the existing ‘Electronic Orange’ scheme. Ceramic White replaces the old ‘White’ colour option and sports blocks of blue on the white, gets orange wheels, a black frame and white subframe.

KTM 200 Duke- Rs 1,91,693 (ex-showroom Delhi):

Similarly, on the 200 Duke, the ‘Electronic Orange’ scheme is being carried forward while the ‘White’ theme is being replaced in favour of the new ‘Dark Metallic Silver’. On the new silver scheme, the ‘Duke’ name sports some blue and the new grey shade even makes its way on the subframe too.

KTM 250 Duke- Rs 2,37,222 (ex-showroom Delhi):

The 250 Duke in this update will skip the ‘Silver’ theme in favour of ‘Ebony Black’ and will be sold alongside the ‘Dark Galvano’ theme. Here’s the twist; While the smaller Dukes get two new lighter shades, the bigger Dukes are seen sporting darker themes.

KTM 390 Duke- Rs 2,96,230 (ex-showroom Delhi):

The big boy gets the most freshness in appeal amongst its siblings. While the three of them get one new shade each, the 390 Duke gets two: Dark Galvano and Liquid Metal. Both replace the older and lighter shades (Metallic Silver and Ceramic White).

Husqvarna- Vitpilen / Svartpilen 250
Priced at Rs 2,19,878 and Rs 2,19,251(ex-showroom Delhi) for the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 also get new colours. While the Vitpilen (white arrow) gets an all white scheme, the Svartpilen (black arrow) gets an all black theme.

The smaller Dukes seem to be favouring more youthful and bright tones and we can see why. Entry level bikes tend to draw younger audiences and flashier the bike, cooler the appeal. However, both the 250 Duke and 390 Duke have a slightly more mature appeal, and darker tones like the 390’s Dark Galvano tend to accentuate the sense of power under the skin better. But here’s the cherry on top- despite the new colors, there’s absolutely no change in price for each of the motorcycles.
