KTM India has finally launched the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, the KTM 890 Duke and the KTM 890 Adventure R. Here’s a breakdown of the bikes, what they offer and their prices.
KTM 1390 Super Duke R
The 1390 Super Duke R is KTM India’s flagship naked offering. It comes with an aggressive design, featuring a vertically stacked LED headlight setup, sharp tank extensions and an overall muscular profile.
The bike is powered by a 1350cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine which produces 190PS and 145Nm. It offers WP Apex active suspension, with 5 modes and also features a braking setup with Brembo Sylema callipers.
The 1390 Super Duke R is now the most powerful KTM bike offered in India, and it comes at a price of Rs 22,95,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
KTM 1290 Super Adventure S
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S has also been launched in India, at a price of Rs 22,73,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike features a design language which is in line with what we have already seen on the existing KTM Adventure lineup in India, with the large headlight and overall muscular looks and styling.
The bike is powered by a 1301cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine which outputs 160PS and 140Nm. In terms of underpinnings, the 1290 Super Adventure S features a 17-inch alloy wheel setup, which makes it a road-biased sporty ADV.
It offers most of the similar features as the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, like the semi-active WP suspension setup, with the 48mm inverted fork, and a monoshock. But overall, the bike manages to distinguish itself as a more road-biased touring bike.
KTM 890 Duke R
The KTM 890 Duke R is a mid-capacity naked bike from the brand.. It features the same headlight as the one we have seen on the previous generation sub-400cc Dukes, but it has a few design and styling elements that make it stand out.
First of all, the tank extensions and overall silhouette of the bike makes it look more aggressive. The bike overall manages to offer a slim profile overall, which stands out.
It is powered by an 889c, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which outputs 121PS and 99Nm. The bike gets a WP APEX 43 inverted fork and a WP Apex monoshock. It features a braking setup that comprises a dual 320mm disc setup at the front with Brembo Stylema callipers and a 240mm disc at the rear with Brembo single-piston floating calliper. It comes at a price of Rs 14,50,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
KTM 890 Adventure R
The KTM 890 Adventure R is the ADV offering based on the 890 platform. It features a design that incorporates typical adventure bike styling, with the raised front fender. It also incorporates a few bits inspired from rally bikes like the taller headlight section and windscreen.
It is powered by the same engine as the KTM 890 Duke, but produces less power. The engine outputs 104.6PS and 100Nm, which is 16PS less and 1NM more than that of the KTM 890 Duke. It features a 48mm WP XPLOR inverted fork and a WP XPLOR monoshock. It features a twin 320mm disc setup at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear. The bike comes at a price of Rs 15,80,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

BikeDekho Says
The launch of these KTM big bikes is a welcome development and we are glad that the brand has finally bought the bikes we have been waiting for.
This launch has also made it easier for KTM enthusiasts who are looking to upgrade to the next level, to get a KTM big bike instead of looking for other high performance offerings from different brands.
