Royal Enfield has finally launched the much-awaited Guerrilla 450 roadster in India, starting at Rs 2,39,000 (ex-showroom). Based on the Himalayan 450, the roadster gets the same 452cc Sherpa engine as the ADV. Its front design is inspired by the smaller Hunter 350, and the sculpted fuel tank also looks similar, whereas the tail section is similar to the Himalayan 450.

The Guerrilla 450 is Rs 4,503 more expensive than the Triumph Speed 400, which is priced at Rs 2,34,497 (ex-showroom Delhi). It goes up against other 400-450cc roadster bikes like the Harley Davidson X440, Hero Mavrick 440 & Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: How Is It Different From The Himalayan 450?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 comes equipped with an LED headlight, tail light and indicators. The base Analogue variant features the semi-digital instrument cluster from the Super Meteor 650, and the Tripper display with turn-by-turn navigation is optional. Whereas the mid and top variants come with a round 4-inch TFT instrument console from the Himalayan 450, with smartphone connectivity, full-screen Google Map navigation and music controls. The 450cc roadster also comes with two ride modes (Eco and Power) and a USB type-C charging port.

Built on a steel tubular frame, the Guerrilla 450 gets a 43mm telescopic fork with 140mm wheel travel and a link-type monoshock with 150mm wheel travel. The roadster rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with a 120-section front and a 160-section rear Ceat Gripp XL tyre, both of which are obviously tubeless.

The Guerrilla has a 1440mm wheelbase, 70mm shorter than the Himalayan 450. Its 169mm ground clearance is 61mm less, and the 780mm seat height is 45mm lower. Weighing 185kg, it’s 11kg lighter. It has an 11-litre fuel tank, which is 6 litres less, and a 191kg payload capacity, 7kg less than the Himalayan 450.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: What Is The Same As Himalayan 450?

The new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is equipped with the same 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Sherpa engine as the Himalayan 450, producing a peak output of 40.02PS at 8000rpm and 40Nm at 5500rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.

The Guerrilla 450 gets the same braking setup as the Himalayan 450 as well. However, the front disc at 310mm is 10mm smaller and a 270mm rear disc is same, with dual-channel ABS as standard. That said, the rear ABS isn’t switchable on the Guerrilla 450, like it is on the Himalayan 450.

BikeDekho Says:

The Guerrilla 450 is meant to be a more affordable and easier-to-ride option within Royal Enfield’s 450cc platform. Unlike the Himalayan 450, which is a large and bulky ADV with a wide turning radius, the Guerrilla 450 offers a more accessible and practical alternative for everyday use. It will also be the cheapest liquid-cooled Royal Enfield bike to date, appealing to young buyers and those who want tasteful roadster styling with good performance.
