BREAKING: The Keeway K300 N and K300 R Have Been Launched!

Modified On Sep 15, 2022 01:00 PM By Nishaad for Keeway K300 R

Both bikes pack a potent engine and premium underpinnings with a surprising price tag

After multiple teasers, Keeway India has finally launched the K300 N and K300 R. These are also Keeway’s first naked and supersport bikes for the Indian market.

K300 N

The K300 N has the classic streetfighter look. It gets an aggressive fascia, sharp cuts and creases and an overall compact look. That said, it bears an uncanny similarity to the CFMoto 300NK. Powering it is a 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 27.5PS and 25Nm, paired to a six-speed gearbox. It also gets a slipper clutch. The bike is suspended on a 37mm inverted fork along with a centrally-placed monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 292mm disc at the front and a 220mm unit at the rear, along with a dual-channel ABS.

Backing its sporty credentials are 17-inch alloys with a 110-section tyre at the front and 140-section one at the rear. Other bits include a ground clearance of 150mm, 12.5-litre fuel tank, 795mm seat height and 151kg weight.

K300 R

The K300 R, on the other hand, gets twin LED headlights flanked by LED DRLs, integrated into its front fairing. It seems to have raised clip-on handlebars and the mirrors are positioned just above the headlight. Interestingly, the K300 R also looks similar to a CFMoto bike; the CFMoto 300SR.

Both the bikes are powered by the same engine, have the same output figures as well as underpinnings. What differs them underneath is the fact that the K300 R, at 165kg, is 14kg heavier than its naked sibling. The tank is also smaller, at 12 litres. While its 780mm seat height might sound inviting for riders of all heights, the 135mm of ground clearance could be an issue on our pathetic roads.

Prices

Coming to the most important bit, Keeway has priced the K300 N at Rs 2,65,000 for the Matte White variant. The Matte Red and the Matte Black colour schemes retail for Rs 2,75,000 and Rs 2,85,000 respectively. While that does sound like a substantial premium just for new colours, the overall pricing is decent enough for an import, and a lot less than what we expected. The Keeway K300 N, hence, goes up against the Honda CB300R, KTM 250 Duke and the BMW G310R.

The supersport K300 R, on the other hand, commands a price tag of Rs 2,99,000 for the Glossy White paint scheme. If you want to get the Glossy Red and Glossy Black, you will have to shell out Rs 3,10,000 and Rs 3,20,000 respectively (all prices ex-showroom India). That way, the bike goes up against the likes of the BMW G 310 RR, TVS Apache RR 310 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
