BREAKING: The Ultraviolette F77 Will Have Over 300km Range!
The most premium made-in-India EV will sport the biggest battery and highest range among all electric two-wheelers on sale in the country
Ultraviolette Automotive has finally released new details about the F77. Ahead of its November 24 launch, the bike will be available for booking from October 23 for an amount of Rs 10,000.
Coming to the juiciest bit, Ultraviolette claims that the lithium-ion battery pack has higher energy density than before, resulting in more power and a significantly improved range, which stands at a whopping 307km (IDC claimed) on the top-spec F77! In fact, its 10.5kWh battery pack is the largest on any electric two-wheeler available in the country. That said, it’s now a fixed unit and is much heavier, and the upcoming electric motorcycle is hefty at around 190kg.

Apart from the new battery back, Ultraviolette engineers have endowed the new F77 with a redesigned frame which is not only lighter, but uses the motor as a stressed member. While the concept had a milled swingarm, the production-spec F77 gets a more conventional cast swingarm to keep costs in check.
The Ultraviolette F77 will be available in three variants: Airstrike, Shadow and Laser. While we don’t have specific details for each variant, it’s likely that the battery capacities and outputs will be different. All of this will come at a price though, and the Ultraviolette F77 is likely to cost between Rs 3.5-4 lakh (ex-showroom), a fair bit more than what we expected it to. That said, the idea of it being India’s most powerful production electric bike is definitely exciting for us enthusiasts!
