BREAKING: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Single-channel ABS Variant Launched

Modified On Sep 22, 2020 01:42 PM By Praveen M. for TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

This variant is around Rs 5,000 cheaper than the dual-channel ABS version

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V single-channel ABS variant is available in two colours. Retains all the features of the RTR 200 4V dual-channel ABS variant. It goes up against the Honda Hornet 2.0, Bajaj Pulsar 220F and Yamaha FZ25.

TVS has launched a single-channel ABS variant of its popular 200cc bike, the Apache RTR 200 4V. Priced at Rs 1,23,500, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Super-Moto ABS variant is Rs 5,050 less expensive than the dual-channel ABS version. The Super-Moto ABS is TVS’ jargon for a single-channel ABS. Unlike the dual-channel ABS variant, this one does not get the rear wheel lift protection. This variant is available in two colours: Pearl White and Gloss Black. The inclusion of this variant should help enthusiasts with a tighter budget get into the Apache RTR 200 bandwagon easier.

Other mechanical bits like the powertrain and underpinnings have remained unchanged. The bike’s heart is a 197.75cc single-cylinder fuel-injected air-cooled unit with oil cooler. It churns out 20.50PS at 8500rpm and 16.8Nm at 7500rpm. It is linked to a 5-speed transmission with slipper clutch. Even though it gets a single-channel ABS, the bike still retains the same 270mm front and 240mm rear petal disc. Suspension bits include a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock.

The single-channel ABS variant does not compromise in terms of features either. It still gets an all-LED headlamp and tail lamp, fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, showing turn-by-turn navigation, telemetry data and the likes. For added convenience in the city, the motorcycle comes with Glide-Through Technology, which is essentially a low-speed assist feature.

The primary rivals of this motorcycle are the Yamaha FZ25 BS6 (Rs 1,52,100), Honda Hornet 2.0 (Rs 1,26,921) and the Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Rs 1,21,747). All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
