BREAKING: Yamaha FZ-S Version 4.0 With Traction Control Launched At Rs 1,27,400
Its retro sibling, the FZ-X, also comes with a couple of updates
Yamaha has launched the FZ-S Version 4.0 at Rs 1,27,400 (ex-showroom Delhi). With this update, the popular naked now features cosmetic and technological upgrades. Its retro-themed sibling, the FZ-X too gets a couple of updates. Both the bikes are now E20 flex-fuel (20 percent ethanol and 80 percent petrol) compliant.
The highlight of the new iteration of the FZ-S Version 4.0 and the FZ-X is the new traction control system that has been standardised for all Yamaha motorcycles on sale now. Traction control keeps the wheel spin in check when going over rubble or wet surfaces. That said, with 12.4PS and 13.3Nm on offer, this electronic aid feels a bit of an overkill.

The new LED headlight is now flanked by vertical LED DRLs. There’s also a new LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity as standard. The bike now gets LED indicators which are now standard across the motorcycle range, including the FZ-X.
Apart from the indicators and traction control, the FZ-X also features a new paint scheme with golden alloy wheels. But apart from this, there are no cosmetic or mechanical changes to the bikes.
The Yamaha FZ-S Version 4.0 DLX demands Rs 3,000 over the FZ-S Version 3.0 DLX, while the FZ-X is now priced at Rs 1,36,900 which is Rs 2,500 more than the outgoing model. While the updates are definitely a welcome change, we would have loved to see the bikes get much-needed performance upgrades.
