But in this economy, you can get only entry-level brand new bikes whereas the second hand market has some delicious performance-based options if you look hard enough So if you’re caught up in a similar dilemma as well, here’s a list of three new bikes and two used ones that you can buy for around one lakh rupees.

And if you’ve been dreaming of Pulsars all your childhood too, you’d be glad to know that even though it’s just a little over a lakh rupees, the NS 125 is still the most affordable sporty Pulsar. 

New Honda SP 125 Disc Brake Variant- Rs 89,131 (Ex-showroom Delhi)

The SP 125 is a very Honda-like product and Honda fanboys will really like it. It’s refined and frugal, packs a punch, and offers a good list of features, making it a well-rounded product. So, if you’re planning to buy a premium 125cc commuter, the SP 125 isn’t a bike you should immediately overlook. 

Used 2019 Apache RTR 200 4V | 28k km | Rs 98,000

The Apache RTR 200 4V has come a long way -- from being just another entry-level performance bike to almost TVS’ crown jewel. In its 4V iteration, it’s an especially fine product. So if the current bike’s 1,41,670 (ex-showroom Delhi) sticker tag is out of your budget, buying a used one for Rs 98,000 makes a lot of sense as well. It offers excellent performance for commuting and weekend rides, and is laden with a few segment-first features as well.

Used 2019 Pulsar 220F | 34k kms | Rs 95,000  

Do we even need to justify purchasing this icon? The Bajaj Pulsar 220 F was an absolute hoot to ride back in the day and still remains one of the best bikes money can buy at this price point. So if you’re looking for a bike that’ll make you giggle inside the helmet each time you ride it, the 220F’s a no brainer.
