Easy to install and can reach top speed of 26kmph

Dhruv Vidyut, a Delhi-based EV startup has developed an electric conversion kit called the DVECK  (Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit). You can slap this bolt-on kit on any normal cycle without any modifications and turn it into a fully functional EV.

Interestingly, the DVECK is easy to install and claims a top speed of 26kmph and a range of 40km. The most fascinating bit is that you don’t need to put it to charge separately, as it claims just 20 minutes of pedalling will charge the battery to 50 percent.

The bolt-on kit can take a payload of 170kg and is built with aircraft-grade aluminium making it rust, water, and fire-resistant.

Additionally, the kit also comes with a battery indicator, throttle, and ignition switch which can be easily installed on the handlebar of the cycle. It also gets a charging inlet on the side of the kit along with a USB socket.

The creator of the kit, Gursaurabh Singh, was also featured on Shark Tank India Season 2 with the DVECK for 100 hours of the Sharks’ time and help in return for 0.5 percent of equity.
