Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse: Photo Gallery
Ducati has just unveiled the limited edition variant in the US
Ducati has taken the wraps off the Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse edition, created in collaboration with American apparel brand Fasthouse. Last year, American rider Jordan Graham, supported by Ducati and Fasthouse, won the Hooligan class of the ‘Mint 400’ off-road race. This motorcycle has been created to commemorate the victory in America’s oldest and most prestigious off-road race, which takes place annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. As you can see, the motorcycle gets a unique colour scheme, inspired by the graphics on the bikes that took part in the Mint 400. The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse, which is limited to just 800 units, will reach US dealerships by the end of this month.
The geometric grey and black lines on the tank are complemented by the Ducati and Fasthouse logo.
A closer look below the tank reveals a small aluminium plate onto which the serial number of the bike is marked for exclusivity.
The Ducati Red-painted Trellis frame really brings out the sporty quotient of the motorcycle. Nestled inside the frame is the same Euro5-compliant 803cc L-twin air-cooled engine, churning out 72.8PS at 8250rpm and 66.2Nm at 5750rpm. Ducati claims a mileage of 18.5kmpl, which is alright for an engine this big.
Like the regular Desert Sled, this one too gets a headlight grille. The off-road style front fender is blacked out for distinction from the regular variant.
The Fasthouse variant comes with a new single-piece seat with an anti-slip cover to keep your rear planted while exploring the roads less travelled. At 860mm, the seat is as tall as the regular variant.
For a more stealthy look, the front and rear spoke wheels are finished in black. The underpinnings are the same as the standard model: a 46mm fully-adjustable inverted front fork as well as preload and rebound adjustable rear Kayaba monoshock, both offering a massive 200mm wheel travel.
It also uses the same 330mm front and 245mm rear disc with Bosch cornering ABS as standard. The spoke wheels are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR dual-purpose tyres, same as the regular model.
Ducati has also introduced a collection of apparel along with the motorcycle, including t-shirts, jackets, gloves and caps. These will be available by April end at Ducati dealers, Fasthouse stores, and the Ducati online shop.
