The brand has teased its first all-new EV range comprising two electric motorcycles and an electric scooter. On enhancing the teaser image, it is evident that one of the e-bikes is a naked and the other a cruiser. Earth Energy will be launching one of the trio later this month.
The startup already offers two electric scooters: Kruze and Glyde, both with a 105km claimed range. Expect the upcoming electric scooter to offer a similar range. But going by the teaser, it is likely to be slightly more performance-oriented than the Kruze and Glyde. If we’re lucky, we could also see smartphone connectivity on the upcoming electric scooter. This scooter should be the perfect rival to the Bajaj Chetak electric and TVS iQube Electric.
Coming to the two electric motorcycles, they will be first of their kind from the brand. Expect both bikes to offer similar levels of performance, equivalent to that of a 110-125cc petrol-powered commuter. Keeping the performance in check will help the brand to price the products competitively. While the naked bike is expected to offer a claimed range of around 100km, we wouldn’t be surprised if the cruiser has a 150-odd km range. The latter will also be the first of its kind to go on sale in India. All three two-wheelers have been undergoing real-world testing for the last 2.5 years, so it is fair to expect the final product to be solid in terms of performance as well as reliability. Expect the electric scooter to be launched first, priced at around Rs 80,000, followed by the electric naked at close to Rs 1.1 lakh. On the other hand, the electric cruiser could be the top-of-the-line model, likely to be pegged at around Rs 1.25 lakh, all ex-showroom.
