The XL750 Transalp looks good, packs a potent engine as well as premium hardware

Honda has taken the wraps off the much-awaited XL750 Transalp at EICMA 2022, making it the latest entrant in the middleweight adventure bike segment. Here’s everything you need to know about it:

Based on the same platform as the recently-launched CB750 Hornet.

755cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin mill makes 91.77PS and 75Nm.

All settings are accessed via the five-inch TFT display which also features Bluetooth connectivity along with Honda’s voice control system.

Four riding modes- Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel

There’s also a customizable riding mode which allows the rider to adjust the 5-step traction control, three-level engine braking and two ABS settings as per preference.

208kg kerb weight means it’s significantly lighter than its rivals.

43mm Showa Separate Function fork and pro-link monoshock; both of which are only preload-adjustable

200mm of suspension travel up front and 190mm of rear wheel travel with a generous 210mm of ground clearance.

310mm discs at the front and 256mm disc at the rear.

21- and 18-inch spoke wheel setup wearing tubed Metzeler Karoo Street or Dunlop Mixtour tyres.

820-850mm adjustable seat height, USB socket and a rear carrier

16.9-litre fuel tank.

Five packs offering a slew of accessories to help you customize your XL750 Transalp.

Available in three colours: Matte Iridium Gray Metallic, Mat Ballistic Black Metallic and Ross White Tricolour.

Given Honda's unpredictable big-bike launches in India, there's a chance the brand might just bring it here. Stay tuned to BikeDekho for more on it. If this gorgeous and purposeful bike does come to India, it'll go up against the Triumph Tiger 900 and the BMW F 850 GS.
