Evtric Rise Electric Motorcycle Launched In India

Modified On Jun 23, 2022 08:50 AM By Aamir Momin

The high speed e-bike claims a 70kmph top speed and 110km range

Evtric, a Pune-based EV manufacturer, has launched its first electric motorcycle, the Rise, in India at Rs 1,59,990 (ex-showroom India). The Evtric Rise will add to the as-yet nascent but fast growing electric motorcycle space, currently populated by its rivals the Revolt RV400, Tork Kratos and the upcoming Oben Rorr.

In terms of appearance, the Evtric Rise gets a slightly muscular body design with sporty styling elements. It features a LED headlight setup with a longer flyscreen than what you’d see on the usual commuters. It gets an LED light strip integrated into the ‘fuel tank’ extensions. The side extensions of the e-bike will slightly remind you of the Hero Glamour. The most interesting bit of its design has to be the battery pack that is placed where a regular petrol-powered motorcycle would have its engine. And this battery pack is designed to look like an engine too.

The 2kW BLDC hub motor is paired to a 70v/40ah (2.8kWh) lithium-ion battery. Evtric claims that this  e-bike can hit a top speed of 70kmph and also manage a range of 110km. It takes about four hours to fully juice up the battery with a 10amp micro charger (most likely a standard home charger).

All the features offered on the Evtric Rise haven't been disclosed yet, however, we expect it’ll have a digital instrument cluster with indications like speed, battery percentage, range and odometer.

At a sticker price of Rs 1,59,990 (ex-showroom India), the Evtric Rise is not the most affordable electric motorcycle out there, especially when compared to the Revolt RV400 which is priced at Rs 1,16,299 (on-road Delhi including state and Fame II subsidies). Bookings for the Evtric Rise are already open at a token amount of Rs 5,000 pan-India.
