EXCLUSIVE: Here’s Where The Modified 822cc Royal Enfield Himalayan Stands Now

Modified On Sep 14, 2022 01:36 PM By Nishaad for Royal Enfield Himalayan

The ADV will be here in two months!

We covered an exclusive story last month about an 822cc twin-cylinder Himalayan being built by Auto Engina, a Pune-based group specialising in hand-built motorcycles and various accessories for Royal Enfield bikes

While we only had a few details about the dream project back then, we now have a lot more to talk about the bike. For starters, Auto Engina has already built a custom engine crankcase for the mill to accommodate the two cylinder blocks. They’ve used two stock crank and couplers with 180-degree cranking for better weight balance. There’s also a new oil supply design.

The block and heads of the two engine blocks have been combined using machine fabrication. The camshaft is a custom one and Auto Engine has fused the cranks together with a 180-degree firing order which should again ideally help in balancing the engine better. Auto Engina has also thrown in a gear shaft extension for easier clutch use.

Auto Engina will be working with Autologue Designs for the design of this parallel-twin ADV.  The custom house plans to get the bike running by November this year to unveil it at the Royal Enfield Rider Mania 2022. Stay tuned to BikeDekho for more exclusive updates on this one-off 822cc parallel-twin Himalayan.
