EXCLUSIVE: Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Alloy Wheel Version Arriving Shortly
New colours and OBD-2 update in the pipeline for the beautiful cafe racer
Royal Enfield is one busy company! While it’s usually the spy shots of the firm’s motorcycles that are in the news, this time it’s an update. Our dealer sources have told us that the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is all set to get alloy wheels as well as new colours with the impending OBD-2 update (the new emission norms are set to kick in from April 1, 2023).
A test mule of the bike with alloys was actually spotted last year too. The tyres could be the same CEATs that are currently offered on the current Continental GT 650 with a tube inside them.
Would Royal Enfield offer the two-cylinder cafe racer with alloys as standard? Maybe, on a few colour options like we have seen happen with the Royal Enfield Classic 350’s Dark Stealth Black and Dark Gunmetal Grey colour schemes. The wheels could also be a part of the company’s Make-it-Yours initiative where buyers can spec out their Royal Enfields with accessories and get it delivered straight from the factory.

Furthermore, the beautiful cafe racer is also all set to get some new colours. The updated model could arrive towards the end of March, commanding a Rs 10,000-12,000 premium over its current price. We also expect the same bunch of changes to be applied to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
