EXCLUSIVE: Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Will Come In Two Variants

Published On May 31, 2022 12:56 PM By Bernard Mascarenhas for Royal Enfield Hunter 350

Buyers can choose between a disc brake variant or drum brake variant

While Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated roadster, the Hunter 350, by the end of June, sources have revealed that this bike will be offered in two broad variants: one with disc brakes front and rear and the other with a rear drum brake.

It’s likely that the single-channel ABS variant will get a 300 mm disc brake at the front, and a 153 mm drum brake at the rear, while the dual-channel ABS variant will be equipped with 300mm and 270mm discs at both ends. This is similar to the variants listed for the Royal Enfield Classic 350. We can also expect exclusive paint options with each of these two variants, as the Classic 350 too gets unique colours for each variant.

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is powered by the same 349cc engine developing 20.4PS and 27Nm like the new generation Classic 350 and Meteor 350. Underpinnings include front forks with gaiters and dual shocks at the rear. It will likely roll on smaller 17-inch alloys rather than the Classic 350’s 19/18-inch setup. The instrument cluster and switchgear will likely come directly from the Meteor 350 and the Hunter will have halogen lights.

The upcoming roadster sports a round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, alloy wheels, blacked-out mechanicals and round lights all around, which are all quite likeable and resemble the Triumph Street Twin. It also features a long, slightly scooped single-piece seat, somewhat rear-biased footpegs, and a slightly aggressive flat handlebar, which seem to offer good ergonomics.

We expect the Hunter 350 to be priced around Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it’ll go against the Yezdi Roadster, Jawa Forty Two, Honda CB350RS, and possibly the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj 350cc bike.
