EXCLUSIVE: Updated Revolt RV400: Image Gallery

Here are a few subtle changes rolled out on the Revolt RV400 electric bike

While there have been a number of electric scooters in India, the electric motorcycle segment has seen very few players. Revolt Motors has been enjoying a monopoly ever since it launched the RV300 and RV400 here back in 2019. And now, Revolt has rolled out small updates on the RV400, as shown in our exclusive image gallery.

The RV400 has always stood out with its unique headlight design, coupled with the flared tank extensions, and this is where the first update on the bike is. The headlight now features a revised DRL, with a new tapered segment that bisects the headlamp vertically at its leading edge.

The taillight of the RV400 is also revised, wherein the boomerang-shaped fangs are no longer tapered. These fangs were earlier wide at the base, while the gap narrowed towards the top.

The brake calipers too seem to be now sourced from a different vendor, as the new model features Advik branding, while the older was from a company called LBN.

The final change we observe on the RV400 are revised switchgears. The new switchgears are now traditionally shaped unlike the older oval-shaped buttons. The new switchgear also seems to be ergonomically friendlier than the older one.

Mechanically, the RV400 remains the same and is powered by a 3kW motor that draws power from a 3.24 kWh battery, which offers a claimed range of up to 150 km in eco mode, 100 km in normal mode and 80 km in sports mode. The powertrain is mid-mounted and uses a belt drive.

The cockpit view from the RV400 reveals an LCD display that gives information about remaining battery charge, range, and ambient temperature. The Revolt can also be paired to a smartphone app via Bluetooth and comes with a 4G-enabled sim card, which communicates the bike’s telemetry with the company so that they can better tune the control software and send over the air updates to the bike. Underpinnings on the RV400 include an upside down fork and a monoshock, and the bike is anchored by disc brakes at both ends.

The RV400 requires 4.5 hours for its battery to be charged from 0-100 percent and is priced at Rs 1,32,000 (ex-showroom without subsidies).
