Customers can take a test ride and book Jawa bikes at the dealership Jawa has plans to make all the 105 dealerships operational by end of January, 2019 Deliveries will begin in March, 2019

Iconic brand Jawa, which was recently resurrected by Mahindra-owned Classic Legends inaugurated its first two dealerships in India. The first Jawa dealership in India is located in Baner (Shakti Automobiles), while the second dealership is in Chinchwad (NSG Jawa). Both the showrooms were inaugurated by Boman Irani, one of the three founders of Classic Legends, and Ashish Joshi, CEO of Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. Up until now, prospective clients could only book Jawa bikes online, but with the opening of the dealership, customers can physically see the new bikes and also book them at the showroom.

Currently, only the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two are on sale for Rs 1.64 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh respectively (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Booking amount for the Jawa bikes is Rs 5,000 and test rides have started. According to Jawa officials, deliveries for the first lot of Jawa bikes will commence by March, 2019. The company also targets to make all the planned 105 dealerships operational by end of January, 2019.

All Jawa dealerships will have a similar theme and will have different sections for riding accessories, apparel and a bookshelf. Just like the bikes which have retro styling but modern internals and features, the showrooms will also have a touchscreen monitor, with which customers can spec their motorcycles. Service centres will be located closer to the dealership location. An interesting aspect is that the first Jawa dealership in India is located right next to a Royal Enfield, Jawa officials termed it as coincidence, as for us we feel the old rivalry has just been reignited.
