Modified On Feb 25, 2016 04:15 PM By Naveen Soni for Bajaj V15 Power Up

Bajaj has started bookings for its new, exclusive motorcycle- V15 that is an affordable 150cc offering with a premium classic look. It was unveiled recently on 1st Feb 2016 and now it is available on display at the dealerships for the customers. So, let's check out the things that we should know about the new Bajaj V15.

1. Part Motorbike, Part War Hero: The company is promoting Bajaj V15 as an invincible machine that has been made using some metal from India’s first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. We know it is not a feature of the motorcycle, however, it adds a special value to the bike.

2. Modern Classic Styling: No doubt, new Bajaj V15 is the most stylish motorcycle among all the affordable 150cc offerings in India and it features a modern classic styling. The bike features a bold masculine fuel tank that looks inspired by the Moto Guzzi V7 and a very imposing front fascia. Other style elements of the bike include a classic tail lamp, removable pillion seat cowl and impressive dual tone paint schemes.

3. Powerful 150cc Engine with Throaty Note: Powering the new Bajaj V15 is a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that has been coupled with a new exhaust system to make a throatier note as compared to the other offerings in the respective segment. The carbureted motor makes 11.8bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 13Nm at 5,500rpm.

4. Ergonomic and Durable Chassis: Assembled on a double cradle frame, Bajaj V15 sports 33mm front telescopic forks and twin Nitrox suspension set-up at the rear. The bike comes with 18" alloy wheel and 90/90 section tyre at the front, while it gets a 16" alloy wheel with 120/70 section tyre (widest in the segment) at the rear. Along with a very ergonomic handlebar, it features bright 60W headlamp, premium instrument cluster and much more.

5. Competitive Pricing: Bajaj V15 has been priced at Rs. 63,160 (ex-showroom, Pune) that is highly competitive according to the appearance and features of the motorcycle. If we compare the motorcycle to the other offerings like Yamaha SZ-RR Ver 2.0 and Hero Achiever, the V15 gets much more and still it comes with a price tag that is lower than most of the competition.

With all these features and affordable price tag, Bajaj V15 is surely going to be a big hit in the market. The pricing has been announced in Maharashtra only and the deliveries of the bike will be commenced from the next month.
