Harley-Davidson Suspends Operations In Russia Amidst Ukraine Invasion
Not that it should leave any sizable dent in Harley's pockets, for the cruiser giant has just 10 dealerships in the massive country
American cruiser giant Harley-Davidson has announced that it has suspended operations in Russia in light of the Ukraine invasion. H-D joins the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Volvo to cut ties with the nation in recent times.
The Milkwaukee-based company is yet to comment on how long the suspension will last; but Europe, Middle East, and Africa arms, which include Russia, accounted for 31 percent of H-D’s 2021 sales. This move is certainly bound to have an effect on this figure.
Harley-Davidson is reported to have 10 dealerships in Russia, and as per sources, the units that were to be shipped to the country will now be now redirected to other locations.
With the United States passing sanctions to crush the Russian economy, many companies have been backing off from trading with the country.
