Heavily Camouflaged Raptee Electric Bike Spied
The development mule looks quite production-ready
Chennai-based EV startup Raptee Motor’s first electric motorcycle has been spied on near its hometown. The prototype does seem quite close to being production-ready, while the semi-faired EV’s futuristic design looks quite interesting.
One can still make out the battery-powered motorcycle’s muscular and beefy body panels, even if they are heavily camouflaged. It also features a split-seat setup and a rather interesting-looking LED taillight.
Raptee has moved away from a belt-drive system, shown on a concept in 2020, to a more conventional chain-drive setup for the final product. The gullwing design of the swingarm also gives off its sporty intentions and looks almost similar to the one found on the Triumph Street Triple.

The company even claims the EV, teasers of which are out, will do the 0-60kmph sprint in 3.5 seconds, quicker than most 150-160cc petrol-powered bikes, including the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
In terms of features, the e-bike, which is likely to be introduced early next year, gets a fully digital instrument cluster and should also come packed with most modern day equipment that other EVs flaunt.
Summing up, it is quite exciting to see the performance-oriented electric motorcycle segment gaining momentum in India. Raptee Motor’s e-motorcycle will slot in-between the Ultraviolette F77 and the Tork Kratos.
