Here’s The Expected Price For The Upcoming Kawasaki W175 Retro Bike
Kawasaki’s smallest India offering will also be its most affordable yet
We recently got an invite for the launch of the upcoming Kawasaki W175 retro-roadster which is slated for the 25th of September. The entry-level roadster will not only be Kawasaki’s smallest offering in India, but also the most accessible in terms of pricing.
A recent spec sheet leak revealed the W175 is powered by a 177cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. It will have an output of 13PS and 13.2Nm. This is the same spec as the W175 sold in Indonesia; however, Indonesia gets a carbureted bike.
The India-spec W175 will weigh 135kg, which is almost 9kg more than its Indonesian sibling. Furthermore, the Indian bike is likely to get a 270mm front disc brake, which is 50mm larger than the Indonesian bike. Lastly, at 790mm seat height, the India-bound bike has a 10mm taller seat and also gets a smaller 12-litre fuel tank, which is down by 2-litres when compared to the Indonesian W175.
In Indonesia, the W175 retails at Rp 34,000,000 (roughly Rs 1.8 lakh), and we expect Kawasaki to price the W175 in India at around the Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. In India, the W175 will rival the Yamaha FZ-X. It could also act as a smaller-engined yet less affordable rival to the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
