Hero Fanboys Rejoice! Multiple Bikes Incoming

Modified On May 17, 2023 08:45 AM By Nishaad for Hero Xteme 210R

As many as six launches from the Indian brand incoming this year

2023 is going to be a big year for Hero. In fact, Niranjan Gupta (the company’s CEO) said that Hero is gearing up to launch more models this year than it ever has! And more importantly, there will be bikes for various segments as well. Here’s what we think Hero could bring in each segment:

Commuter Segment

Hero could be bringing around a couple of updates in the commuter segment, one that it absolutely dominates. For starters, Hero could relaunch the iconic Passion Plus as the bike was spotted at a dealer event last month. Along with this, the brand could also give bikes like the HF Deluxe an Xtec makeover.

Premium Segment

Hero has been working quite a lot on its premium segment since the past 3-4 years and this year it’s going to get bigger than ever. First it’d be the Xtreme 200R 4V, a bike that was also spotted last month. While the test mule had an inverted fork, previous design patents showed that it had a telescopic fork. This leads us to believe that it could hence be offered in two variants. The Xtreme 200S 4V was also spotted at a dealership in a really attractive paint scheme and we think it could make its way to our shores this year as well.

Moving up the cubic capacity ladder, there’s the Karizma XMR 210. From the hilly regions of Ladakh, to cluttered city roads, the bike has been spied on a lot. In fact, previous spy shots have revealed the bike’s design and it does look very similar to a particular Japanese supersport. Wanna know which one? Check it out here.

Closing this list, we have a bike that probably is the most exciting of the lot: the XPulse 400. The last time we saw it, its dirtbike iteration was proving its worth at the Indian National Rally Sprint. Here’s what the bike looks like. Now, while the bike’s unlikely to come in this calendar year, it’ll likely be launched this financial year, probably sometime in early 2024.
