Hero MotoCorp Developing TVS NTorq 125 Rival: Check Pics

Modified On Jul 20, 2022 11:28 AM By Manaal Mahatme

The new sporty 125cc scooter could share a lot with the Maestro Edge and the Destini 125

Spy shots of a new sporty scooter from Hero MotoCorp have surfaced on the internet. While no details about the two-wheeler are available at the moment, in all likelihood, this could be a 125cc offering to take on the likes of the TVS NTorq 125Suzuki Avenis and the Yamaha RayZR 125.

The test mule, although it was heavily camouflaged, revealed some interesting details about the upcoming product. For starters, the design appears to be quite sporty with aggressive lines and an apron-mounted headlight.

The front indicators appear to be integrated into the bodywork while the rear indicators are motorcycle-like, just like we have seen on the current crop of 125cc ‘sporty’ scooters. The taillight of the upcoming Hero scooter is unique as well.

While the exterior seems set to look unique, on the whole, the scooter is likely to have a lot in common with the Maestro Edge 125 and the Destini 125. So, expect the same 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine developing 9PS and 10.4Nm from Hero’s other 125cc scooters. Even the underpinnings are likely to be carried over to bring down production costs.

Hero MotoCorp seems to be going all out with regard to the features on this scooter. The spy shots reveal the 125cc scooter will feature the i3s technology and also a fully digital instrument console. And going by how tech-savvy the bikemaker has become lately, a USB charger and connectivity features too could be standard on this upcoming scooter.

The test mule appeared production-ready and we expect this new Hero scooter to be launched in the festive season and considering the fact that the TVS NTorq 125 Race XP is available at Rs 90,511, Hero too could price it’s scooter at around Rs 90,000 (both ex-showroom Delhi).
