While the price premium is marginal across all the motorcycles, the Hero Splendor Plus seems to be losing its sheen as a value-for-money offering. Even though it is a 100cc motorcycle, its price has already crossed the Rs 60,000 mark. On the other hand, its arch rival, the TVS Radeon, is not only cheaper by Rs 1,018 but also packs a larger 110cc motor. The Hero Super Splendor also seems to be getting a little more expensive, especially considering you can get the sportier-looking Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon (drum variant) for Rs 828 lesser than the top-end Super Splendor.
Other than the prices, the bikes have remained unchanged. Hero says the prices have been increased to offset the rising input and commodity costs. The latest prices are effective from October 1. The Indian bikemaker witnessed healthy sales in September, with the numbers reaching well beyond the pre-COVID figures in the same month last year. You can read all about that here.
