We compare our tested fuel economy figures of two of India’s highest-selling two-wheelers
The Hero Splendor has been in the Indian market for almost three decades now, and continues to be the best-selling motorcycle here. While no other two-wheeler has come close to toppling Hero’s top gun, the Honda Activa is the second best-selling two-wheeler in India. And one of the key factors determining the success of these products is how easy these two-wheelers are on the pockets.
We recently, tested them, and here’s how our test fuel economy figures of the Hero Splendor Plus XTec and Honda Activa 6G stack up against each other:

The Hero Splendor Plus XTec beats the Honda Activa 6G by a big margin, which is mostly down to the Splendor Plus’ 4-speed gearbox. Unlike the Activa’s CVT unit, the manual ’box allows you to milk out maximum mileage. Furthermore, the Splendor even benefits from Hero’s i3S tech.
