XPulse 200T is a softer touring variant of the XPulse 200 Both share the same 200cc engine, but have different riding ergonomics Expected to be priced around Rs 1.10 lakh

Hero MotoCorp has confirmed that its 200cc XPulse ADV, along with the new XPulse 200T will be launched in India by early 2019. The XPulse 200T was showcased at this year’s EICMA along with four new concepts based on the 200cc ADV including a scrambler, desert tracker, flat tracker and cafe racer.

The XPulse 200T is a softer touring variant of the XPulse 200 and as such gets touring friendly ergonomic updates in the form of revised suspension setting and a shorter handlebar. The rider sits 30mm lower on the 200T compared to the standard XPulse. This, we feel, could be due to the suspension having a lower travel. It sports a conventional road-focussed design and misses out on the high-set mudguard and knobby tyres of the standard XPulse 200. You also get a conventional exhaust instead of a high-mounted unit. Other than that, the design and features like LED headlamp and taillamp, digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation and a single-channel ABS are carried over.

Both bikes are powered by the same 200cc air-cooled and fuel-injected, single-cylinder motor mated to a five-speed gearbox. It makes 18.7PS of power and 17.1Nm of torque. Both carry the same underpinnings as well. While both get conventional front forks and rear monoshock, they are expected to be set up differently as the intended use is different. Both get disc brakes on both wheels and a single-channel ABS.
