Hero’s Apache Rival Has Been Spotted!
The Xtreme 200R looks like a beefier Xtreme 160R
UPDATE: One of these bikes is actually the Karizma XMR 210. Check out more about this iconic bike here.
Just a week after its design patent surfaced online, the Hero Xtreme 200R has been spotted testing on our roads.
What's most obvious is that the bike’s designed similar to the Xtreme 160R. That said, its rear section is differently designed with slightly sleeker LED indicators. The upswept exhaust is what stands out on the test mule, with its design being quite similar to that of the updated XPulse 200T. The Xtreme 200R’s heart is likely to be the same as the one on the XPulse 200 4V and the XPulse 200T. In the duo, it makes 19.1PS and 17.35Nm on tap, so we hope Hero tweaks the engine’s tune to suit the character of the naked.

Interestingly, accompanying the 200R’s test mule was another one, possibly the updated Xtreme 160R. The same bike was spotted last year. Coming back to the Xtreme 200R, Hero could price it at around Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Once it’s here, which is expected to be sometime early next year, it’ll go up against the Honda Hornet 2.0, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
