Honda has launched a Royal Enfield Classic 350 rival in the form of the H’Ness CB350. The motorcycle has reached dealerships and deliveries are expected to commence soon. Here is a closer look at the retro motorcycle in the form of detailed images. 

THe CB 350 H'Ness gets a neo retro design with the engine taking up a bulk of the styling. It gets chrome mudguards and an exhaust muffler. Overall, the Highness is styled similar to the larger Honda CB 1100 RS.  

The 350cc motorcycle is available in two variants: a lower spec one with single tone colour scheme and a higher specced dual tone colour variant. 

It gets a round LED headlamp with round LED turn indicators. the tail lamp though uses a bulb for lighting. 

It gets a semi digital instrument console that includes an analogue tachometer with a digital insert for the fuel level, average fuel efficiency, clock, range and gear position indicator. It even includes Bluetooth connectivity and shows call alerts and navigation directions on the tiny display. 

The instrument console data can be accessed through the control buttons on the right side switchgear. Like the CBR300R, this Honda too gets the horn button on top of the turn indicator stalk. 

As expected from Honda, build quality is impressive with clean lines, high quality components and paint finish. The fuel tank capacity is 15-litres. 

It gets high quality retro styled 3D badges on the side panels and fuel tank. 

Like the Classic 350, it uses an air-cooled long stroke motor. The 348cc motor produces 21PS at 5,500rpm and 30Nm at 3,000rpm. It gets 2 balancer shafts to minimise vibrations.

The CB 350 Highness gets traction control, a first for the segment. 

It uses a 5-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch for lighter clutch actuation. The shifter is an old school heel and toe unit. 

The Honda H'Ness CB 350 gets a unique half-duplex cradle frame. Suspension components include telescopic front forks and twin hydraulic shock absorbers. Braking is via a large 310mm front disc with Nissin calipers and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard. 

The single seat unit is long and wide and should offer good comfort on longer rides. 

Like the Classic 350, the Honda H'Ness offers an upright and commanding riding position. Its 800mm seat height should be make it accessible to most riders. 

The Honda H'Ness CB 350 prices start at Rs 1.9 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, its primary rival, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 costs Rs 1,69,617 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the dual-channel ABS variant. The Honda feels like a well built and larger motorcycle and even gets a three year warranty as standard with an option to extend to three more years.
