Honda Lead 125, or Aviator's Lookalike, Launched In Japan
The highlight of the scooter is its massive 37-litre underseat storage space
Honda has launched the latest iteration of the Lead 125 in Japan. The scooter has received cosmetic as well as mechanical updates, and will hit the domestic market on March 24, 2022.
The design of the Lead 125 might remind you of the Honda Aviator which was discontinued from the Indian market a few years back.
The 2022 Honda Lead 125 gets a sleek look complemented by a multi-colour paint scheme. It features an LED headlight, keyless operation, a cubby hole with bottle holder and a USB Type-C charging port, semi-digital instrument cluster, and a massive 37-litre underseat storage space.
Powering the Lead 125 is a new 124cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 11PS and 12Nm. This scooter also features an ACG starter motor for silent start and an idle stop-start system for better fuel efficiency.
The ride is taken care of by a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, it mounts a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. The Honda Lead 125 rolls on 12-/10-inch wheels that come wrapped in tyres having a 90-section unit at the front and a 100-section unit at the rear.
The moped is offered in a total of four colours. The Matte Techno Silver Metallic is priced at 3,30,000 yen (approx Rs 2.15 lakh) while the Pearl Dark Ash Blue 2, Pearl Jasmine White, and Poseidon Black Metallic costs 3,24,500 yen (approx Rs 2.11 lakh). In India, you can have a look at the Honda Activa 125 and the recently launched TVS Jupiter 125.
