From 100cc to 160cc, there are a bunch of options available

Honda has recently launched its most affordable bike, the Shine 100, adding to its variety of commuter bike portfolio. Here’s what they are.

Honda Shine 100

Recently launched, the Honda Shine 100 is the most affordable and smallest bike in the Japanese bikemakers portfolio. It is a no-nonsense commuter with simple styling and basic features and is powered by a 7.6PS and 8.05Nm 100cc engine. The prices start at Rs 64,900 (all prices ex-showroom Mumbai), Rs 7,000 cheaper than the highest selling bike in India, the Hero Splendor. Check out more about the Honda 100cc bike here.

Honda CD110 Dream Deluxe

The Honda CD110 Dream Deluxe makes for an ideal workhorse with a frugal and reliable 109cc fuel injected engine. It also comes equipped with interesting features like a silent starter and an engine kill switch. All this at Rs 71,133 (ex-showroom Delhi) makes for a pretty good deal. Here’s everything you need to know about the 110cc Honda.

Honda Livo

Based on the same platform as the CD110, the Honda Livo is the sportiest looking 110cc bike in the country. It flaunts a youthful and refreshing design with sporty graphics and fuel tank extensions, setting it apart from its rivals. The drum variant of the bike costs Rs 75,820, whereas the disc variant costs Rs 79,820 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Livo is perfect for those who want a frugal commuter bike but with premium appeal.

Honda Shine 125

Best-selling 125cc bike in India. Enough said. The ever so loveable Honda Shine is a simple and reliable 125cc workshorse that has become a household name when it comes to 125cc bikes. While it doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles, the Shine does flaunt a classy design with durable and frugal engine and comes at a pretty affordable price tag of Rs 78,687 for the drum variant and Rs 82,687 for the disc variant. Here’s all you need to know about the bike.

Honda SP125

The Honda SP125 is based on the same platform as the Shine (an already winning formula) but in a much sportier and youthful clothing. It gets a snazzy design language with sporty colours and graphics, and a fully-digital instrument console with average, real-time mileage and distance-to-empty readout. Other notable features include an all-LED headlight, silent starter, and more importantly, a five-speed transmission. The drum variant of the bike costs Rs 84,204 whereas the disc variant is priced at Rs 88,204. The SP125 is perfect for those who want a premium 125cc bike with a good balance of features, frugality, and sporty looks.

Honda CB Unicorn

At Rs 1,05,718 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Honda Unicorn is the most affordable 160cc bike in India. Its familiar design is loved by customers so much that even after Honda launched the CB Unicorn 160, fans wanted the old design back; and hence, the OG Unicorn was resurrected in India. In its BS6 avatar, Honda gave the bike a bigger 162.7cc engine, making 12.9PS and 14Nm. Another interesting tidbit is that the Honda Unicorn was also India’s first bike with a monoshock.
