Honda Sets Eyes On Royal Enfield & Jawa, Will Launch Multiple New 350cc Bikes Soon

Modified On Nov 23, 2021 12:55 PM By Punya Sharma for Honda Hness CB350

The Japanese brand plans to expand sales and offerings in the 350cc space

Honda’s expansion plan also includes setting up 100 BigWing dealerships by March 2022. The new bikes will be launched year by year. All bikes will be based on the Honda H’ness CB350 platform.

Back in 2020, Honda went all guns blazing on Royal Enfield by unveiling the H’ness CB350, which came very close to dethroning the Classic 350. And to keep the fight going, Honda now plans to unveil as many as three new 350cc motorcycles in the coming years.

According to Atsushi Ogata (president, Honda India), these motorcycles will foray into the market year by year. And with the H’ness meant to take on the Classic 350, we believe Honda’s next motorcycle might be a 350cc cruiser to take on the Meteor 350.

It will be based on the Honda CB350 platform and will likely feature the same, refined 350cc, single-cylinder as seen on both the H’ness and the CB350RS. Expect the bike to feature a windscreen, more relaxed ergonomics, and design tweaks to help it fit into the ‘cruiser’ category.

Meanwhile, Honda also plans to achieve annual sales of close to three lakh units in the next three years. And to do so, the company aims to set up around 300 BigWing dealerships across India in the next three years. Currently, India has only 70 BigWing dealerships which is a huge limiting factor against its competition, especially when you consider Royal Enfield has over 1000 dealerships across India.

With 2021 almost wrapped up, we believe Honda will launch its cruiser bike sometime early next year. However, in the meantime, it could have its hands full with the upcoming Yezdi motorcycles, which have been spotted testing. Looks like things are going to heat up real soon, and we’re surely not complaining!
