Honda is all set to launch its 100cc commuter bike, likely to be called the Shine 100, tomorrow. Once it arrives, it will be the most affordable Honda bike in its Indian lineup. Here’s how much we think it may cost.
We first heard about the brand’s intention to enter the 100cc segment in February last year, and confirmed its plans of making it affordable in April 2022. It was only early this year that we saw a glimpse of what this bike could look like, thanks to a leaked design patent application.

The most affordable bike in the 100cc segment is the Hero HF100, which carries a price tag of Rs 56,968. The Shine 100 will also rival the Bajaj Platina 100, priced at Rs 65,856 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). Honda will have to nail the pricing if it aims to eat into the sales of the Hero Splendor, which has constantly been the best-selling motorcycle in India.
